Luka Pejovic studied business administration at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf where he specialized investments and finance. After the studies he commenced the CFA program and became a CFA Charterholder in 2016.
Whether it was working in the financial sector of an energy company in Germany, the USA, and Spain, financial controlling in shipbuilding in Norway, or financial consulting for M&A in Serbia, his activities were always focused on the financial processes.
Through his work in Serbia, Luka familiarized with some of the issues faced especially by startups and small businesses stemming from lack of alternative sources of financing. The idea to offer some kind of innovative method of financing to small businesses was born and as a result of these aspirations the very first Serbian crowdinvesting platform – Ventu.rs – was created.
Today, Luka is director of Ventu.rs, working on establishing crowdinvesting as a legitimate funding source for MSMEs and startups in Serbia. In the summer of 2021, he became a board member of the CFA Society Serbia.
